What is Evolutionary Astrology?
Evolutionary astrology operates under the assumption that we incarnate into our lives in order to learn and evolve. As an evolutionary astrologer, I am interested in not only describing your personality, but also looking at why you chose to incarnate with the energies you did. For example, why is your Sun in Sagittarius and how does this energy serve your highest potentials in this lifetime?
We are always co-creating with the archetypal energies symbolized in our charts. As an evolutionary astrologer, I want to help you understand what energies you are working with so you can more consciously align with your truest, highest Self.
What can I expect if I book a reading with you?
When most people think about astrology they are thinking about pop astrology, which is Sun sign astrology. Sun sign astrology centers solely around the zodiac sign that the Sun was in when you were born. The Sun occupies each sign of the zodiac for approximately one month, so you share your Sun sign with anyone who happened to be born around the same time. This is not very precise astrology and tends to rely on stereotypes and lists of personality characteristics, that you may or may not resonate with (depending on what else was happening in the sky when you were born). Many people do not identify with their Sun sign, and usually there is good reason for this.
Astrology is much more complex than Sun signs and can tell us a lot more than a list of general personality characteristics. When I look at a natal chart I am looking at it through the perspective of the Soul. Why did your Soul choose your specific personality? What kinds of experiences did your Soul intend to have in this lifetime? What particular wounds did you come here to heal? What kind of past life experiences have you had and how do they continue to influence you?
When you book an initial natal chart reading my aim is to summarize the major themes and most important messages in your chart, giving you a solid understanding of the primary energies you have come here to work with and what lessons you have come here to learn, leaving you with tangible information that can be applied directly to your life moving forward.
What can I expect if I book a reading with you (logistics)?
All readings are 50 minutes and conducted via Zoom. I record the session on my end and send the video recording to you after the session.
When you schedule, I will send you an email with a link to my client portal. You will fill out a short form, and this is where you provide your birth information to me. (It is very important to have the exact time of birth, down to the minute, in order to have an accurate chart.)
When you schedule, you will also receive a text message from my credit card processing company, Ivy. This is an encrypted, HIPPA compliant platform, because it is intended for therapists. I use this platform for my therapy and my astrology practice. You will follow the link provided in the text message to put in your payment information.
As soon as I receive payment, I will send you a Zoom link for the day of our appointment, and your spot will be reserved in my calendar at that point.

Is astrology a religion?
No, astrology is not a religion. Astrology is a symbolic language that is based on the premise that there is a synchronistic relationship between everything that exists in the Universe; including that which is within us and that which is outside of us. The planetary positions are thought to reflect life on earth—“As above, so below.” The planetary positions at the moment of your birth, the moment of your becoming, also reflect you, as you are a part of nature and a part of life unfolding on Earth.
When we look at your natal chart, we are looking at an energetic map of your psyche/Soul/Self. Understanding the messages in your chart can be very validating and can help you understand how to live your life in alignment with your Soul’s evolutionary intentions.
I practice Western or Tropical Astrology which is based on the variations of seasonal light. You don’t need to “believe in” astrology, or understand exactly how it works, for it be useful to you.
Will you predict my future?
The symbols in the birth chart represent archetypal fields of probability. So, while we can discuss the energies at play and how to work with them consciously in order to tip the scales toward more desirable outcomes, we cannot predict exactly what will happen just by looking at astrological charts.
Astrology is most accurate at reflecting our experience on the spiritual and developmental level, helping us to understand the meaning and growth potential underlying our experiences.
